Job description

Career Overview: Mechanical engineering technicians provide technical support to mechanical engineers in the production and manufacture of mechanical machines. They help in making designs, modifications and carrying out tests. They also develop charts and drawings, collect and interpret data, and write reports. Usual tasks for this profession: • Help develop new theories and improve current methods in this field. • Contribute to the overall design process, advising on materials and quality standards. • Providing support for engineering projects, supervising the implementation of operations and installation of systems, and preparing schedules and cost estimates. • Providing support in systems maintenance and repair. • Follow health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
