Senior Treasury Specialist

Job description

Responsible for managing the company's cash flow, ensuring liquidity, optimizing investments, and mitigating financial risks. The role includes daily cash management, preparing rolling cash forecasts and budgets, banking relationships, and compliance with financial regulations. Monitor and manage daily cash positions to ensure sufficient funds for operational and capital investment needs. Prepare cash rolling forecasts and budgets, monitor actual performance against budgeted cash flows, and analyze financial data to support strategic decisions. Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions. Develop and implement investment strategies to optimize returns on surplus funds while monitoring investment portfolios. Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks, including currency and interest rate risks. Manage existing debt and arrange new debt when necessary, tracking loan and interest repayments to ensure timely payments. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to treasury activities and prepare financial reports for senior management. Calculate and record finance charges with monthly accruals. Conduct random validation of finance charges debited by banks to ensure correctness per agreements. Implement and maintain treasury management systems and continuously improve processes for efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operations departments to ensure cohesive financial management and provide treasury-related support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Banking
• Master's degree or professional certification such as ACCA or CFA is a plus
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in treasury, finance, or related fields
• Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and banking
• Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to treasury activities.
