Naval Architect

Job description

We are seeking a marine engineer with experience in shipbuilding and marine projects. The tasks include developing ship designs, performing marine engineering calculations, preparing engineering outputs, ensuring the safety of ship design, stability, hydrodynamic performance, and compliance with project specifications and applicable marine standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or equivalent engineering field
• experience in marine engineering in marine or shipbuilding projects
• proficiency in using marine engineering and naval design software, preferably experience with NAPA, Maxsurf, AVEVA Marine / Hull & Outfitting, or other client-acceptable software
• good understanding of hydrostatics, ship stability, buoyancy, displacement, weight distribution, and center of gravity calculation
• ability to interpret ship specifications, engineering drawings, design calculations, classification requirements, and technical documents
• experience in coordinating work with other engineering disciplines
