Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

Join the R&D/Engineering team of a fast‑growing AI technology company serving millions worldwide. Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Ruby on Rails while collaborating with the CTO, Tech Lead, Product Managers and SREs. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements with Product Managers, preparing technical integration plans, implementing new features and enhancing existing functionality, writing clean well‑tested code, participating in pull requests and code reviews, troubleshooting issues to improve reliability and performance, contributing to technical decisions, experimenting with new technologies, and working with distributed engineering, infrastructure and product teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years commercial experience as a Backend or Full‑Stack Software Engineer
• strong recent hands‑on Ruby on Rails experience in production
• ability to independently design and implement complex backend features
• experience with applications serving thousands of monthly active users and building reliable, scalable systems
• experience in technology scale‑ups, startups or agile environments with changing priorities and tight deadlines
• proven ability to take features from requirements through development, testing and production
• excellent spoken and written English and comfortable working with international remote teams
• based in Europe with CET ±3 hours overlap
• fully comfortable working on AI companionship products involving uncensored and NSFW content
