Maintenance Engineer

Job description

Maintenance Engineer – Mechatronics at the employer, Saudi Arabia. Responsible for reliable operation, performance, and safety of factory machines and equipment including press machines, CNC and laser cutting machines, drilling units, tube mill and slitting lines, and automation systems. Performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, diagnoses and repairs electrical and mechanical faults, supports continuous improvement, and ensures minimal downtime. Supervises technicians and contractors, trains apprentices, coordinates with production and quality teams, and implements safety procedures such as lock‑out/tag‑out and risk assessments.

Requirements

• Ability to create and implement new systems and modify machinery
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial or factory maintenance
• Proven experience in maintaining/troubleshooting press machines, CNC, laser, drilling, tube mill, and slitting lines
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation, PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, and control systems
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies and tools
• Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA, ISO) and energy management practices
• Very good communication skills.
