Hardware Technician

Job description

The Hardware Technician provides site‑based and remote system support to customers in the region. Deploys new and upgraded mining systems at customer sites. Performs basic troubleshooting and configures system software and computer operating systems. Develops procedures and system reports according to customer requests. Acts as escalation point for technical issues raised by the team and works through escalation to resolve problems beyond Project Engineers’ scope. Collaborates with Project Managers to ensure efficient deployment of mining systems on time and within budget. Executes projects by defining phases, elements, and schedules, determining specifications from product design, customer requirements, and performance standards. Prepares cost estimates, loads basic configurations, upgrades, and operating systems onto field and server equipment following change‑management procedures. Administers service agreements and maintains a database of deployed systems and configurations. Writes computer programs, enters and backs up data. Contributes to team efforts and maintains effective relationships with the Hardware Manager and Project Engineers. Quickly identifies business risks, inefficiencies, issues, and opportunities
