Engineering Interface Engineer

Job description

the employer in Riyadh is seeking an Engineering Interface Engineer. Responsible for monitoring design consultants to ensure design correctness, completeness, and compliance with scope requirements. Controls senior discipline engineers on design aspects within the project management team. Manages timely provision of engineering and design information between parties. Identifies need for reviews and audits to assure interface management performance. Evaluates and endorses variation orders submitted by consultants for client approval. Attends all meetings with consultants, sub‑consultants, and client. Reviews project design strategy and makes recommendations. Proactively supports weekly and monthly interface management meetings to resolve outstanding issues. Suggests alternative materials/systems to reduce maintenance and construction costs. Assists in preparing pre‑qualification questionnaires for consultants and contractors and in evaluating bidders. Monitors and ensures timely submission of all design documents to government authorities until final permits are obtained. Coordinates with regional/home office for technical support and design completeness. Adheres to the employer International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies. Performs other duties as assigned by the line manager
