Job description

The Specialist in Adult Critical Care at the employer in Medina provides high-quality patient care within intensive care units following established standards and protocols. Responsibilities include delivering care within granted privileges, documenting all care according to the employer policies, educating and communicating effectively with patients in collaboration with the attending physician, performing or assisting in authorized medical/surgical procedures, preparing medical reports in the specified the employer format, attending departmental meetings and scientific activities, contributing to the training of junior staff, understanding and implementing the employer policies, educating patients and families about conditions, treatments and prevention, undertaking other duties within scope, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, adhering to safety protocols, maintaining confidentiality, upholding the employer’s code of conduct, and completing mandatory education requirements before expiration

Requirements

• Proficient in delivering patient care within granted privileges and standards
• proficient in documenting care according to the employer policies
• proficient in patient education and effective communication with the medical team
• experience with performing or assisting authorized medical/surgical procedures
• proficient in preparing medical reports in the specified format
• attendance at departmental meetings and scientific activities
• ability to train junior staff
• knowledge of the employer policies and procedures
• educating patients and families about health conditions, treatments and preventive measures
• undertaking other duties within scope
• contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• adherence to safety protocols
• maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

• 5-10 years experience in adult critical care
