Job description
The Senior Renewables Energy Engineer provides technical leadership for solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from feasibility through delivery. Responsibilities include leading feasibility studies and detailed design, preparing and reviewing technical specifications and calculations, performing solar yield and battery performance assessments, coordinating grid connection requirements and multidisciplinary interfaces, reviewing vendor proposals and technical documentation, supporting procurement, testing, commissioning and handover, offering technical guidance and mentoring to engineers, and liaising with clients, utilities, authorities and contractors to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Power, Renewable Energy or related engineering field
- minimum 10-12 years of experience in renewable energy projects
- strong experience in Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- knowledge of grid connection requirements, power systems and electrical design
- experience delivering utility‑scale renewable projects
- strong technical leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- prior experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is highly desirable.
