Role: Director of Commercial for the employer Jabal Omar in Mecca, full‑time reporting to the General Manager. Responsibilities: develop and execute the hotel's overall commercial strategy aligned with business objectives, market conditions and brand standards; lead the annual commercial planning process including budgeting, forecasting and business plans; identify new revenue opportunities across all business segments and distribution channels; set short, medium and long‑term commercial priorities to maximize profitability and market share; collaborate with Operations and Finance to align initiatives with operational capabilities and financial goals; monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, demand patterns and industry trends to spot strategic opportunities; lead Sales across corporate, leisure, wholesale, government, luxury travel, groups and MICE segments; develop strategic sales plans for domestic, regional and international markets; strengthen relationships with key corporate accounts, travel partners, luxury consortia, government entities and tourism stakeholders; drive proactive business development and account acquisition; ensure effective sales activities including prospecting, account management, sales missions and client events; monitor sales performance via KPIs and ensure revenue targets are met; provide strategic leadership and act as brand ambassador ensuring commercial initiatives reflect Sofitel's elegance while respecting Mecca's cultural and religious significance

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial strategy and leadership within the hospitality sector
• proficiency in developing and executing comprehensive commercial strategies
• proficiency in leading Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing and Digital Communications functions
• knowledge of identifying new revenue opportunities across all business segments
• proficiency in monitoring market dynamics and competitor analysis
• proficiency in building relationships with corporate accounts, travel partners and government entities
