General Manager

Job description

The role oversees agricultural operations specialized in palm trees, fruits, and vegetables. Develops strategic plans to boost production and efficiency. Leads all aspects of farming from planting to distribution. Monitors processes to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance. Collaborates with agronomists to optimize yields and sustainability. Manages budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Builds relationships with suppliers, distributors, and stakeholders. Recruits, trains, and mentors staff, fostering a culture of excellence. Stays updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations. Reports directly to the executive team on performance and strategic direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field
• Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years experience in agricultural management focusing on palm trees, fruits, and vegetables
• Proven track record managing large-scale agricultural operations
• Strong knowledge of modern agricultural technologies and practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and sustainability practices in agriculture
