High Performance Computing Systems Management Leader

Job description

Lead the team to ensure the smooth operation of a Linux cluster consisting of 300+ GPU/CPU compute nodes, including parallel filesystems and high-performance networks. This role involves both technical responsibilities and team leadership, including the supervision of 3-4 experienced HPC system administrators. Key responsibilities include: Planning system operations and upgrades to meet laboratory and customer needs; developing and implementing workload scheduler policies; supporting high-performance filesystems; managing network infrastructure (TCP/IP and HPC networks); utilizing scripting languages for node automation and configuration management; managing hardware failures and spare parts; and building effective relationships with staff, faculty, and students.

Requirements

• Experience leading HPC systems
• proficiency in managing Linux clusters
• knowledge of parallel filesystems and high-performance networks
• expertise in workload scheduler policy development
