Field Engineer

Job description

Join the Field Engineering team to travel worldwide to conduct risk‑based inspections and ensure certification integrity. Visits may include testing fire doors at schools, checking fire trucks, or inspecting the New Year’s Eve ball in Times Square. As a Field Engineer you will conduct safety and non‑safety inspections and audits at customer facilities across Saudi Arabia, verify that certified electrical and electronic products meet UL Solutions requirements, review production records and quality documentation, assess test equipment calibration, prepare inspection reports documenting non‑conformances and corrective actions, schedule and manage field activities independently, act as a trusted advisor to customers, collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Customer Service and other internal teams, and build strong customer relationships throughout product launches and certification cycles.

Requirements

• Higher degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, or related discipline
• Experience in auditing, inspection, compliance, product testing or related technical field
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic products, components, manufacturing processes or quality systems
• Proficient in written and verbal English, French and the local language
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage a field‑based schedule
• Customer‑focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
