About the Role Ma'aden is looking for a Cloud, Communications and OT Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is fundamental in shaping the foundations of the technology that enables safe, resilient and cross-metal connected industrial processes. The Director will set the enterprise direction for operational technology, connectivity, cloud and edge environments, creating an aligned digital backbone between factory systems, production environments and enterprise technology. Role Purpose and Value This position improves the reliability, scalability, and maturity of industrial technology while enabling automation, real-time operational insight, and data-driven decision making. It fosters convergence between OT and IT, ensuring architecture, platforms and technology investments are aligned with operational priorities and enterprise standards. Through enterprise governance, modernization and capacity building, the role supports Ma'aden in scaling digital and autonomous operations, enhancing operational agility, and managing industrial technology risks. Key Responsibilities Shape and implement enterprise strategy and roadmap for OT architecture, cloud, edge, connectivity and industrial technology, aligned with enterprise architecture and technology priorities. Establish standards, governance and lifecycle principles for consistent, scalable systems and resilient industrial technology environments across sites. Translate operational priorities and technology maturity gaps into targeted transformation initiatives with clear performance outcomes. Leading the modernization and unification of ablution systems Undertake critical operational technology, including PLC, DCS, SCADA, MES, LIMS, and historical environments. Enhancing the availability, reliability, interoperability and lifecycle performance of technology that supports mining and processing operations. Enable resilient cloud, edge, hosting, and connectivity environments to reliably exchange data across industrial and enterprise systems. Build technology foundations to scale automation, advanced analytics, remote operations, and autonomous operating models. Enabling the flow of secure, reliable, high-quality OT data to enterprise, cloud, data and AI environments. Improving operational visibility and technology performance through remote monitoring, optimization and proactive management of industrial systems. Strengthen OT governance, architecture and controls to manage technology risks, cybersecurity dependencies, obsolescence and lifecycle requirements. Direct enterprise modernization initiatives that improve technology maturity, operational flexibility and scalability across locations. Create meaningful KPIs for operational technology availability, reliability, resilience and maturity, using HTS performance indicators to prioritize investment and improvement. Align operations, IT, data, AI, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity and innovation around integrated technology roadmaps and transformation priorities. Lead and develop cross-disciplinary capability across OT engineering, infrastructure, connectivity and related technology disciplines. Providing formal advice To executive stakeholders and enhance decision-making on industrial technology priorities, investments, risks and strategic partnerships. Qualifications and Experience A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required for this role. Indicators of Success The organization's OT, cloud, connectivity and edge architectures are standardized and adopted across relevant processes. Critical industrial technology environments achieve targeted levels of availability, reliability, flexibility, and scalability.
