About the Role Al Bawani is looking for an Electrical BIM Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting the development, coordination, review and management of electrical BIM models and related digital deliverables throughout the various project phases, from design development through to digital delivery. The BIM Electrical Engineer will work under the supervision of the BIM Manager and in close collaboration with the Technical Engineering team. Key Responsibilities Develop, update and maintain electrical BIM models according to project BIM requirements, standards and CDE workflow. Design and manage various electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, containment, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, photovoltaic systems, and various ELV/ICT systems. Prepare electrical model views, coordinated plans, sections, elevations, and model-based drawing deliverables using Revit MEP and related tools. Ensure model information is accurate, formatted, and appropriate for design coordination, shop drawing production, build support, QTO, 4D/5D readiness, inline updates, and delivery. Support multi-disciplinary BIM coordination, clash detection and problem resolution using platforms such as Navisworks, ACC Model Coordination and BCF. Actively participate in BIM coordination, technical coordination, design coordination, and construction coordination meetings. Support the production of electrical shop drawings from formatted BIM models and approved IFC design information. Assist in coordinating the work of construction workers, including penetrations, sleeves, openings, and equipment bases. Support built-in progressive BIM updates and setup with AIM, COBie and Asset Registry for digital delivery. Provide BIM-based technical support for RFIs, TQs and site inquiries, including buildability reviews. Support QTO, 4D/5D and digital build readiness by ensuring model elements are correctly parameterized for quantity extraction, CBS mapping and sequencing. Prepare clear layout images for presentations, workshops, and construction sequence discussions. Contribute to the development of BIM standards, electrical workflows and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications and Experience At least 6 years of relevant BIM experience in electrical modeling, coordination, and BIM support in the construction phase, with a preference of 7-9 years in large-scale, campus, government, mixed-use, design-build, or fast-track construction projects. Strong electrical engineering background with the ability to coordinate electrical systems and mechanical/electrical interfaces. Ability to review BIM models from an engineering and constructability perspective. Strong understanding of power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, containment, EV/ICT, fire alarms, security systems, electrical rooms, hoists, shafts, access areas, maintenance permits and building works. Good understanding of ISO 19650 principles, CDE workflow, naming conventions, status codes and information management. Understanding of LOD/LOIN, typical health checks, QA/QC workflows, conflict detection, and issue management. Basic understanding of quantum liftoff readiness, CBS coding, 4D sequencing, 5D data preparation, and dashboard reporting Blame it. Understanding of AIM, COBie, asset history, built models, O&M connectivity and digital delivery requirements. Ability to read and understand various engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, requests for information, threshold questions, and construction documents. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow procedures through to closing. Technical Skills and Software Proficiency Proficient in: Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Docs, BIM Collaborate/Model Coordination), AutoCAD/AutoCAD MEP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
