Investment Banking AI Research Contributor

Job description

The role involves leveraging your financial expertise to evaluate and improve advanced AI systems. You will design realistic Excel-based tasks drawn from investment banking, M&A advisory, and corporate development workflows. You will create precise evaluation criteria and test AI models in complex financial modeling scenarios. Work independently on a flexible schedule, participating in remote, project-based research for 4–6 weeks with an immediate start.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, or corporate development
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills including merger models, pro forma statements, purchase accounting, precedent transaction analysis, and valuation techniques
• Ability to build, review, troubleshoot, and extend complex financial models ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail
• Proficient written English to produce clear task briefs and objective evaluation rubrics
• Interest in AI research and willingness to learn evaluation methodologies
• Independent working style with ability to meet deadlines
• Commitment to data confidentiality using sanitized real or public data with source identification
• Availability to start promptly and attend an initial onboarding session.
