Financial Crime Consulting Director

A specialist FCC advisory firm is hiring a Director to lead and scale its Financial Crime Advisory practice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with secondary reach across the GCC. The role combines business development, client delivery, project execution and team leadership. Responsibilities include building C‑suite relationships, creating proposals aligned with SAMA, CBUAE and FATF priorities, achieving revenue targets of over USD 1M annually, leading multi‑workstream engagements on time and on budget, providing expert guidance on sanctions screening and transaction monitoring platforms, ensuring delivery quality, and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

• 15+ years total professional experience
• 10+ years FCC advisory/consulting experience
• 5+ years FCC advisory sales/BD to banks
• 10+ years FCC project execution
• 10+ years GCC market experience
• experience with local GCC banks
• team building and management experience
• client account management with USD 1M+ revenue per annum
• background in Big 4/Tier 1 consulting or specialist advisory
• deep expertise in gap assessments (AML/CFT, sanctions, anti‑bribery) against SAMA, CBUAE, FATF
• sanctions and TM model validation and system tuning
• KYC/CDD/EDD remediation
• monitorship/Skilled Persons Review
• enterprise‑wide financial crime risk assessments
• AML/CFT programme design and implementation
• regulatory examination readiness
• hands‑on experience with Fircosoft/Accuity, Oracle Financial Services, SAS AML, NICE Actimize, Oracle FCCM
• involvement in at least one full system selection and implementation
• deep knowledge of KSA SAMA, UAE CBUAE, FATF, EU AML, OFAC, UK sanctions
• built and commercialised at least one digital/technology‑enabled FCC advisory solution
• strong understanding of RegTech, AI/ML, automation in financial crime risk management
• familiarity with data science tools (Python) for FCC analytics.
