Senior Systematics Support Engineer (IM/ST)

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systematics Support Engineer (IM/ST) to provide operational support for Systematics Information Management (IM) and Systematics Transaction Server (ST) applications on IBM Mainframe (z/OS). The role ensures availability, stability, and performance of batch processing and online transaction environments. As part of a 24x7 production support team, the engineer leads incident resolution, monitors End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-Day (BOD) batch processing, troubleshoots system issues, and collaborates with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to maintain business continuity.

Requirements

• proficient in COBOL
• experience with Systematics IM/ST production support
• expertise in monitoring and supporting EOD/BOD batch processing
• experience in batch scheduling and job dependency management
• experience in root cause analysis and issue resolution
• proficient in JCL debugging and optimization
• knowledge of VSAM file management
• experience with mainframe production monitoring
• experience in incident, problem, and change management
• experience in performance monitoring and operational support
• experience with IBM z/OS and IBM Mainframe
• 6–10+ years of mainframe production support experience
• minimum 4+ years supporting Systematics IM/ST applications in banking or financial services
• familiarity with scheduling tools like Control-M or CA-7
• experience in ITIL-based support environments
• knowledge of core banking systems and transaction processing is desirable

Skills
