Senior HAM Developer

Job description

We are looking for an experienced HAM Developer to develop, configure, implement, and maintain ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management solutions. Responsibilities include developing and customizing ServiceNow HAM solutions; implementing and maintaining HAM Pro capabilities; managing the full hardware asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal; configuring asset models, categories, records, stockrooms, and inventory processes; integrating HAM with CMDB, Discovery, Procurement and other ITSM modules; configuring and maintaining workflows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer and other components; supporting asset discovery, reconciliation, inventory tracking and data quality; creating reports and dashboards for inventory, utilization, lifecycle status and compliance; automating asset management processes for efficiency; troubleshooting HAM technical and configuration issues; collaborating with IT asset, procurement, finance, infrastructure and service desk teams; supporting testing, deployment, upgrades, integrations and ongoing maintenance; preparing technical documentation and supporting asset audits and compliance activities.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in ServiceNow development with strong focus on Hardware Asset Management
• practical experience implementing and configuring ServiceNow HAM Pro
• strong understanding of hardware asset lifecycle and ITAM processes
• experience with hardware asset models, model categories, stockrooms, inventory and asset relationships
• knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery and asset‑to‑CI reconciliation
• proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting
• experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer and ServiceNow integrations
• knowledge of REST APIs and integration techniques
• experience with data imports, transform maps, troubleshooting, testing and debugging
• understanding of ITIL processes and hardware asset compliance requirements
• strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and documentation skills
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Hardware Asset Management (CIS‑HAM) where applicable
• experience with ServiceNow ITSM and CMDB
• familiarity with procurement, purchase orders, vendor management and contract processes
• experience with hardware inventory audits, stockroom operations and asset lifecycle reporting
• knowledge of IT asset management best practices and ITIL frameworks.
