Senior Developer

Job description

The Senior Developer role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise applications to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions. Develops, tests, and maintains applications according to business requirements. Participates in technical design, system enhancements, and application development activities. Builds and integrates APIs, backend services, databases, and user interfaces. Resolves application defects, troubleshoots technical issues, and optimizes performance. Collaborates with business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams throughout the development lifecycle. Ensures software complies with security, coding, and quality standards. Performs unit testing, code reviews, and technical documentation. Supports production releases and post‑deployment activities. Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and best development practices. Stays current with modern technologies and recommends practical enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience with proven experience in enterprise applications
• strong expertise in backend or frontend development with good understanding of full‑stack technologies
• strong experience in API development, databases and system integration
• proficiency in relevant programming languages and development frameworks
• strong knowledge of software design principles, coding standards, security and performance optimization
• experience with unit testing, code reviews, debugging and technical documentation
• experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross‑functional teams
• experience supporting production releases and resolving critical application issues
• strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills
• preferred experience in Banking, FinTech or Payment environments.
