Site Engineer - Bridges

Job description

Supervise daily site activities and monitor construction progress against approved schedules. Ensure works are executed according to IFC drawings, specifications, method statements and contract requirements. Coordinate activities with contractors, subcontractors, survey teams and inspectors. Verify site readiness and resource availability before construction starts. Monitor workforce productivity and efficient use of labor, equipment and materials. Ensure bridge works are built within approved tolerances and alignment, coordinating with survey teams for setting‑out, levels and structural positioning. Coordinate interfaces between bridge construction and related infrastructure works and address site constraints. Ensure all activities comply with project quality standards and specifications, conducting inspections before consultant and client reviews. Review drawings and technical documents prior to execution, provide technical support and resolve construction issues, coordinating with design and engineering teams. Prepare daily progress reports, identify delays and risks, and recommend corrective actions. Participate in site and technical coordination meetings and maintain effective communication between site and office. Comply with HSE requirements, promote safe work practices and engage in toolbox talks, safety inspections and incident investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineering registration advantageous
• Additional certifications in construction management or bridge engineering preferred
• Minimum 5–8 years experience in civil and infrastructure construction projects
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in bridge construction
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC region highly desirable
• Experience with main contractors, consultants or PMC organizations preferred
• Strong site supervision and construction management skills
• Excellent problem‑solving and technical decision‑making abilities
• Effective stakeholder coordination and communication skills
• Strong reporting and documentation capabilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
• High attention to quality, safety and construction compliance
