Rail Transport Planner - Metro Experience

Job description

We are seeking a qualified Rail Transport Planner with minimum 10 years’ experience to join our Transport Planning and Strategic Advisory Business Unit in the Middle East. The candidate must be a degree-qualified professional with a minimum of 5 years of traffic engineering, transport planning and traffic modelling experience. Your role requires contributing to a variety of transport planning studies including large scale transport master plan assessments, traffic impact studies or multi-disciplinary planning projects in the public and private sectors. You must have an understanding of transport planning, traffic engineering and travel demand theory, with experience in public transport networks and familiarity with international transport planning standards and practices. You will contribute to preparation of reports including existing conditions analyses, trip generation, junction analysis and parking assessments. You must be able to communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken, and be able to learn and retain new skills quickly from a variety of sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in traffic engineering, transport planning or traffic modelling
• minimum 8 years of experience in traffic engineering and transport planning with Operations and Maintenance railway project exposure
• knowledge of International public Transport Planning standards and procedures
• has worked within a team
• experience in the Middle East is preferred.
