Production Engineer

Job description

The Production Engineer in the events manufacturing workshop is responsible for daily fabrication of event structures, exhibition wings, décor and custom accessories. Translates technical drawings into actual products in carpentry, metalwork, printing, foam work and painting. Ensures quality of every item and adherence to schedule. Reads and interprets technical drawings, plans with the Production Manager, resolves issues, performs self‑quality checks, ensures finish standards, reduces rework, uses materials efficiently, maintains tools and equipment, supports inventory, follows safety protocols, reports hazards, coordinates with colleagues, provides progress reports, and assists with on‑site assembly and disassembly.

Requirements

• 3–5 years experience in practical manufacturing for events, finishing or set construction
• knowledge of reading technical and execution drawings and cut lists
• hands‑on experience with electrical, hand tools and workshop machines
• basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
• familiarity with CAD software a plus
• diploma or bachelor degree in engineering, industrial design or related technical field
• accuracy, reliability and ability to work under pressure to meet tight event deadlines
