ICT Engineer - (Aviation Exp)

Job description

The ICT Infrastructure Architect is responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and supervising the implementation of ICT infrastructure and systems throughout the project. Key duties include leading design and optimization of ICT solutions, reviewing high-level architectural designs, supporting data center modernization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate stakeholder requirements, supporting network and data center integration, reviewing technical submissions and shop drawings, supervising installation, testing and commissioning on site, monitoring site activities for compliance with drawings and standards, conducting regular inspections, coordinating with contractors, designers and clients to resolve technical issues, reviewing material submittals, preparing technical reports, defining ICT architecture principles and governance, establishing resilience strategies for Tier III/IV data centers per Uptime Institute, ANSI/TIA, BICSI, ISO/IEC standards, ensuring seamless integration with airport operational systems, embedding cybersecurity and data protection, managing technical risks, and building trusted advisor relationships with airport executives and technology partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, Computer and Systems Engineering or related field
• 10+ years experience in IT infrastructure architecture, network infrastructure, data centers, SAS and ICT systems
• Professional engineering registration with recognized engineering body
• Relevant architecture and security certifications preferred
• Proven experience in design review, technical coordination, and site supervision of IT infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and infrastructure security
• Experience across all project design stages from concept to IFC, shop drawings, as‑built, testing, commissioning and handover
• Good knowledge of ICT/ELV systems, international standards and project documentation
• Understanding of system integration, multidisciplinary coordination and construction‑stage requirements
• Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills
• Experience with data center design requirements and Tier classifications
• Experience with physical security systems such as CCTV, access control, intrusion detection and security control rooms
• Understanding of cybersecurity requirements, network segregation, IT/OT separation and secure ICT design
• Experience in airport systems, smart building systems and complex infrastructure projects
• Significant experience on large technology programs in aviation, airport or transport critical infrastructure
• Familiarity with airport standards (IATA, ICAO)
• Knowledge of OT, SCADA, IoT and building‑management integration in airport campuses
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Arabic language skills a plus
• Understanding of sustainable construction practices
• PMP certification a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in fast‑paced dynamic environment
