Chief Accountant

Job description

The Chief Accountant oversees daily accounting operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective controls. Manages general ledger activities, reconciliations, budgeting support, tax compliance, and closing processes while maintaining accurate records and supporting audits. Also supervises the accounting team and provides financial insights to support business operations and decision‑making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent preferred
• 5–8 years progressive accounting experience with supervisory or senior‑level responsibility
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
• Experience in month‑end and year‑end closing processes
• Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite or similar
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
