Chief Accountant

Job description

Join an the employer network hotel in Riyadh. Lead all accounting operations and act as a strategic financial partner to senior management. Responsibilities: oversee general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, fixed asset management, and bank reconciliations; prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with Saudi standards; ensure full compliance with Saudi tax regulations and statutory reporting; direct month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently; monitor cash flow, analyze budgets, and support business decisions; coordinate internal and external audits and respond to findings; develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets; review journal entries and financial reconciliations; supervise and develop accounting staff; contribute to annual budget preparation and financial forecasts; streamline accounting processes and apply best practices; provide comprehensive financial analysis and strategic recommendations; ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent (preferred)
• Saudi Certified Public Accountant (SCBA) certification or equivalent Saudi regulatory qualification
• minimum 7 years progressive accounting experience
• at least 3 years supervisory or managerial accounting experience
• comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, taxation, and internal control frameworks
• proven expertise with ERP systems and modern accounting software
• advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• strong understanding of Saudi accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements
• demonstrated ability to manage month-end and year-end closing processes
• experience coordinating internal and external audits and managing audit responses
• excellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing accounting professionals
• strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
• exceptional organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
• excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• experience with strategic financial planning and forecasting
• demonstrated commitment to transparency, compliance, and ethical financial practices
