Job description

Study and diagnose the medical condition, develop and follow up on the treatment plan, evaluate progress and effectiveness, and prepare and store medical documentation and reports.

Typical duties of this profession:

• Receive the medical history from the patient or their relatives; study the condition; conduct the clinical checks; request lab analyses and radiographic, ultrasound or sonogram images; read the results and reports; and diagnose the condition as per the respective specialty.

• Develop the necessary care and treatment plan; and guide the patient as well as their relatives to the basis and how to take medicines.

• Assess the development of the condition and the effectiveness of care and treatment plan; and refer the cases requiring other interventions and consultations to the specialists.

• Develop the work methods and procedures; and keep up with the developments in testing, diagnosis and treatment methods.

• Prepare, and keep in the corresponding data base, the patient’s medical documents and reports, in accordance with the regulating policy and procedures.
