Procurement Specialist

Job description

We are seeking a procurement specialist with an engineering background, who has practical experience as an engineer and knowledge of the procurement cycle. The tasks include receiving requests for needs and issuing purchase orders and following up on supplies, participating in the implementation of the procurement cycle, supporting tendering and competition processes, preparing specifications and technical specifications, reviewing technical specifications for materials, equipment and services, evaluating offers, communicating with suppliers, following up on supplier performance, and preparing periodic reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field
• experience from 6 months to 5 years
• practical experience as an engineer
• knowledge of the procurement cycle
• practical experience in Jordan
• previous work experience in Saudi Arabia
• ability to read and understand technical specifications and compare offers
• good reporting skills
• professional certifications or courses in procurement
• experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP
• good communication and negotiation skills
• proficiency in Excel
