The Director, Technology Development turns Ma'aden's technology ambition into measurable business value. Provides enterprise leadership across diverse technology domains, aligns business priorities with specialist expertise, and directs investment and execution toward high‑potential opportunities to improve safety, productivity, reliability, growth and operational performance. Creates conditions for technologies to move from discovery and validation to scaled operational deployment. Integrates work of chief specialists and senior experts, sets clear portfolio priorities and governance, and ensures solutions are operationally ready, adopted and sustained. Through disciplined prioritization, executive decision‑making and strong technical leadership, strengthens Ma'aden's ability to deploy technology at scale while building specialist capability for future growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Proficient Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mining, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automation, Systems Engineering or related field
• experience 20+ years in engineering, technology deployment, operations, major projects or asset‑intensive environments
• extensive experience in mining, processing, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy or heavy industry with exposure to operational performance, safety and technology‑enabled transformation
• proven experience leading senior specialists or multidisciplinary technical teams and delivering through complex matrix organizations
• proven experience developing technology strategies, governing enterprise portfolios and advancing solutions from discovery to scaled operational deployment and sustained value realization
• knowledge of technology strategy, maturity assessment and scaled deployment
• knowledge of enterprise portfolio prioritization and investment governance
• knowledge of business value and benefits realization
• knowledge of mining, processing and industrial technology
• knowledge of technology assurance, safety and operational risk
• knowledge of program, portfolio and stage‑gate governance
• knowledge of financial and commercial decision‑making
• knowledge of executive stakeholder and partnership management
• knowledge of leadership of senior technical experts
• knowledge of change leadership, capability building and knowledge transfer.
