Mechanical Foreman

Job description

The foreman executes and supervises preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities for mechanical equipment in gas plants and pipelines. Coordinates with operations to plan maintenance, shutdowns and equipment isolation. Assigns daily tasks and monitors progress to ensure timely completion. Performs troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures. Verifies job quality, conducts inspections and ensures equipment readiness before handover to operations. Manages use of tools and spare parts, supporting inventory control and spare management. Prepares and closes work orders, maintenance reports and equipment history records. Supports plant start‑up, shutdown and emergency maintenance. Provides on‑the‑job training and mentoring to technicians to enhance team capability

Requirements

• compliance
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in maintenance of gas plants and pipeline systems
• strong expertise in maintenance of mechanical equipment including static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, valves) and rotary equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers)
• experience using SAP PM for maintenance work orders, notifications and history tracking preferred
• leadership and team supervision skills
• maintenance planning and execution
• equipment troubleshooting and problem‑solving
• good communication and coordination skills
• basic computer skills
• SAP PM knowledge is an advantage
