Job description

Join a professional shipboard deck team as an Able‑Bodied Seaman. The role supports safe deck operations, cargo handling, mooring, maintenance and lookout duties under the Bosun, Chief Officer and Master. Contributes to compliance with international and company safety and environmental standards while working in a multicultural crew

Requirements

• Proficient in carrying out tasks as directed by the Chief Officer or nominee
• proficient in using relevant safety equipment
• knowledge of valid work permits for required tasks
• proficient in operating anchor winches and towing equipment
• proficient in operating the vessel's forklift truck with a certified driver’s license
• knowledge of gangway, fire patrol or security patrol duties if required
• proficient in maintaining mooring ropes, steelwork and paintwork as directed by the Bosun
• proficient in sea watches as lookouts or helmsmen when needed
• proficient in assisting mooring, cargo and port operations as directed
• proficient in operating workboats and rescue boats when designated as Coxswain or crew
• proficient in operating ship cranes when designated as crane driver
• proficient in wearing, inspecting and caring for personal protective equipment
• certification as per STCW Reg II/5
• STCW endorsements
• valid medical certificate
• minimum 12 months experience in the same rank or similar vessel.
