Lead Operation and Maintenance (O&M) - Metro/Rail Project

Job description

The role focuses on ensuring operability and maintainability of the Automatic Metro System to the highest international standards. Prepare documentation review reports in line with the project schedule and quality policy. Report compliance and deviations in design progress meetings. Communicate confidentially with all stakeholders. Set up workshops and meetings with contractors to highlight gaps, challenge solutions, and ensure timely submissions. Provide weekly progress reports to the Package, System, and Design managers. Participate in FAT tests on‑site and abroad. Act as an O&M expert for the Employer upon request. Advise on operability and maintainability of subsystems. Implement required reporting to generate project information. Manage design changes and ensure they are communicated to the contractor. Verify subsystem compliance with allocated requirements and define appropriate actions. Prepare technical requests and follow up. Translate operating requirements into specific criteria for subsystems. Manage train operation during construction activities.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in a relevant field
• At least 15 years experience in Operation and Maintenance of Metro systems
• Proven record of 5 years field experience in OCC operation and on‑line metro operation
• Participation in at least three Automatic Metro line projects in three different countries
• Proficient in reviewing training plans, rules and procedures, and O&M manuals delivered by the Design‑Build contractor
• Experience managing operating staff during Test & Commissioning, system demonstration, and trial runs
• Experience assessing service quality during the Defect Liability period
