Network Engineer

Job description

Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network solutions to support business operations and optimize performance. Duties include designing and implementing LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls, monitoring network performance and stability, identifying improvement areas and troubleshooting issues, developing and implementing network security protocols to protect data and infrastructure, collaborating with IT teams to assess network needs and install upgrades, preparing and maintaining documentation of network configurations, standards, and procedures, and staying updated on emerging networking technologies and trends

Requirements

• Experience with network-related equipment, including use of sniffers and network monitoring tools
• Operating and troubleshooting experience with Cisco Switches: 6500, 4500, 3750, 3560, 2960
• Technical knowledge of VLAN, VTP, Trunk (802.1q), Spanning Tree
• Experience with BGP, EIGRP, ISIS
• CCNA, CCNP or equivalent certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering or related roles
• At least 2 years of IT professional experience with networking focus
