Asst Director of Finance

Job description

Develops and implements property-wide strategies to meet brand target customers and employee expectations. Provides financial expertise to enable brand service strategy and maximize ROI. Creates and executes a business plan aligned with property and brand strategy focusing on financial and accounting activities and delivering desirable results. Assists strategic planning and decision making; improves profit by estimating cost and benefit and exploring new opportunities; analyzes information, forecasts sales versus expenses and creates annual budget plans; compiles and monitors actual sales against projections; compares actual versus forecasted wages for better budgeting; breaks down data to identify underlying principles; helps create the annual operating budget; provides analytical support in budget reviews to identify cost savings; implements controls to manage business risks; ensures strong accounting and operational controls to safeguard assets and profitability; analyzes financial data and market trends; contributes to comprehensive annual business plan aligned with corporate strategy; monitors actual and projected departmental sales; produces accurate forecasts for operational response. Leads finance and accounting team using interpersonal and communication skills; advocates sound financial decisions; demonstrates integrity; communicates strategic goals clearly; oversees internal, external and regulatory audits; assigns clear accountability with authority; conducts annual performance appraisals. Engages with owners to understand priorities; meets key stakeholder needs; communicates financial concepts clearly; understands cash flow and owner priorities; manages working capital and cash flow per brand SOPs and owner requirements.

Requirements

• 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major
• 1 year experience in finance and accounting or related professional area
• OR Master's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major
