Maintenance Lead Technician

Job description

Performs maintenance repair work according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer specifications. Inspects and troubleshoots problems. Dismantles devices to repair defective parts. Reports work performed, remarks and parts used on the repair request form. Checks bearing condition and other wear. Replaces faulty mechanical components such as bearings, chains, belts, pneumatic and hydraulic components using proper tools and hand tools. Performs and implements routine maintenance programs using appropriate tools and references. Carries out calibration based on the calibration schedule. Logs daily activities. Implements and maintains the 5S culture. Ensures health and safety requirements are applied throughout the plant and employee health is protected from industrial hazards. Prepares and issues spare parts vouchers. Initiates and recommends modification or replacement of components and equipment that do not meet operating standards. May direct, assist and train new or lower‑level technicians.

Requirements

• proficient in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment
• knowledge of reading diagrams and technical manuals
• experience in inspecting and troubleshooting problems

• proficient in reporting work and using repair request forms
• knowledge of bearing condition and wear monitoring
