UT Technician

Job description

Responsibilities: set up and calibrate equipment and interpret results according to codes, standards and specifications; be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the NDT method used and assume assigned responsibility; verify that all equipment, accessories and consumables have valid calibration/conformity certificates and are suitable per approved procedures; perform verification and calibration of instrument characteristics before executing NDT; prepare inspection reports and ensure results conform to standards or specifications before submission to the client.

Requirements

• proficient in setting up and calibrating equipment
• proficient in interpreting and evaluating results per applicable codes, standards and specifications
• knowledge of scope and limitations of the NDT method used
• experience verifying calibration certificates for equipment, accessories and consumables
• experience performing verification and calibration of instrument characteristics before NDT
• ability to prepare inspection reports ensuring compliance with standards or specifications
• location: Eastern Province
