Job description

General overview of the profession: The medical director is the executive responsible for quality and clinical care within the health institution. He sets medical policies and ensures their implementation in accordance with national and international standards. He coordinates and directs medical teams to achieve therapeutic and preventive goals, and also participates in making strategic decisions related to health services. Typical tasks for this profession: • Develop and implement medical policies and clinical standards within the institution • Supervise clinical quality and safety and follow up on performance indicators • Lead and coordinate medical teams to ensure the delivery of outstanding care • Participate in strategic planning and development of health services • Ensure compliance with national and international health regulations
