Meter Reader

Job description

the employer is looking for a Meter Reader to join our team in the Oil and Energy sector to ensure accurate measurement and payment of energy consumption bills. Duties include performing periodic meter checks to accurately record energy consumption data, collecting and analyzing meter data to ensure accurate billing, diagnosing and resolving meter-related problems in a timely manner, collaborating with other teams to ensure energy metering systems operate smoothly, accurately managing and maintaining records of meter readings, performing routine meter maintenance and reporting any defects or damages, and adhering to safety protocols and regulations during meter reading activities

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Excel
• Mastery of fine details
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a similar role, preferably in the oil and energy sector
• Skill in using mobile devices and computer software to record and analyze data
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interaction skills
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to meter reading and energy metering systems
