Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job description

A mechanical maintenance technician in a paint shop is responsible for preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance of all mechanical equipment such as conveyors, pumps, spray suites, ovens and robots. Ensures equipment is operating safely and efficiently to support production goals and minimize downtime. Participates in the installation and operation of new equipment and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards. Documents the work and coordinates it with the technical and production teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering and mechatronics
• Technical or vocational training in mechanical maintenance (preferred)
• 2 to 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in automobile manufacturing or paint shops
• Experience with automated paint shop equipment and robotics systems (preferred)
• Regular exposure to transmission lines, furnaces and mechanical equipment
• The use of personal protective equipment is mandatory during all maintenance activities
• Working in shifts and providing support when needed
