Mechanical Inspector

Job description

The Mechanical Inspector is responsible for ensuring that mechanical equipment and systems comply with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role requires a skilled professional capable of conducting thorough inspections and reviews. You will work closely with project teams to support quality assurance and quality control throughout the project lifecycle. The role's tasks include conducting detailed inspections of mechanical equipment, welding, and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications and industry standards. Reviewing technical documents, drawings, and inspection plans. Implementing non-destructive testing management and reviewing results. Documenting and presenting inspection results, discrepancies, and recommendations. Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and quality team members to address any non-compliance issues. Ensuring all inspection activities comply with client and company policies. Maintaining accurate and secure inspection records and reports

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• experience as a mechanical inspector, preferably in the utilities or energy sector
• good attention to detail and analytical skills
• ability to work independently and in a team environment
