Cleaning Technician

Job description

The role involves cleaning industrial equipment and work areas in a Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) plant. Perform cleaning of PWHT furnaces, fixtures, tools, piping and associated equipment. Clean fabricated components before and after PWHT. Remove scale, rust, oil, grease and other contaminants from metal surfaces. Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, vacuum systems and hand tools. Maintain cleanliness of workshops and storage locations. Dispose of waste according to company procedures and environmental regulations. Support PWHT operations by preparing equipment and work areas for production.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate in industrial cleaning or related technical field is an advantage
• Minimum 2–5 years experience as a Cleaning Technician in an industrial, fabrication, refinery or PWHT plant environment
• Experience working with heavy industrial equipment and metal components
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment
• Understanding of PWHT plant operations and fabrication environments
• Awareness of HSE standards and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical fitness and ability to work in demanding industrial environments
• Basic communication and reporting skills
