Senior Resident Quantity Surveyor

Job description

Work at the employer delivering infrastructure consulting worldwide. Responsibilities include managing quantity surveying, cost management, commercial management, and estimation across projects; preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, budgets, tender documents and commercial proposals; developing cost plans, monitoring project expenditure and identifying cost‑saving opportunities; managing tendering activities including pricing, bid evaluation and commercial submissions; reviewing contracts, variations, claims, payment applications and final accounts; conducting cost analysis, financial forecasting and budget monitoring to support project delivery; supporting Operations and Maintenance projects through cost estimation, tender preparation, pricing and commercial management of maintenance contracts; reviewing technical and commercial information, verifying project data accuracy and preparing detailed cost reports; coordinating with engineering, procurement, operations and project management teams to meet cost and commercial requirements; handling complex commercial and cost issues and providing recommendations based on professional expertise; working independently under general direction and taking responsibility for assigned tasks and deliverables; ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, project standards and relevant commercial procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• more than 15 years experience in quantity surveying, cost management, commercial management, estimation, or tendering
• proficient in cost control, cost planning, BOQ preparation, tendering, contract administration and commercial analysis
• proven experience in Operations and Maintenance (O&M) projects including cost estimation, tender preparation, pricing and commercial management of maintenance contracts
• professional accreditation such as MRICS or RICS preferred
• strong analytical, reporting, negotiation and problem‑solving skills
• ability to manage complex assignments and work independently with minimal supervision
