Lead BIM Engineer

Job description

Job Summary: Assists the Manager, interacts with owners, architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to develop and analyze the virtual construction process to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve documentation and delivery. Responsibilities: attend or manage model coordination meetings and document preconstruction/BIM site issues; coordinate models with internal and subcontractor detailers and record coordination sign‑offs; process shop‑drawing level models for approval; assist the project team with construction coordination and scheduling; print drawing sets for review; support client in quantity calculations for material orders and crew planning; prepare 3D models and dimensioned shop drawing sheets for field use; prepare BIM models and shop drawings accurately and on time; provide daily and weekly timesheets; additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360
• extensive knowledge of architectural and engineering principles and BIM methodologies
• strong understanding of project requirements to create and manage BIM models that reflect design intent
• excellent communication and leadership skills to lead BIM teams and coordinate stakeholders
• problem‑solving ability for BIM technical challenges
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP
• minimum 8 years of overall experience
• at least 5 years of relevant BIM experience
• 2 years GCC experience is a plus.
