Senior Draftsman

Job description

The Senior Draftsman organizes, plans, maintains and supervises structural drawing documentation, submittals and schedules in coordination with architecture and MEP works. Prepares detailed technical drawings using CAD software based on sketches and specifications. Reviews drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with standards and regulations. Coordinates drafting activities with engineers, architects and stakeholders. Provides guidance and training to junior draftsmen. Ensures drawings meet industry standards, building codes and regulatory requirements. Performs quality checks and corrects errors. Organizes and maintains drawing files for easy retrieval. Oversees production, printing and distribution of drawings on schedule. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design changes and resolve conflicts. Stays updated on CAD advancements and drafting techniques. Supports HSE initiatives and participates in safety awareness activities

Requirements

• proficient in AutoCAD
• proficiency in financial analysis techniques
• knowledge of budgeting principles
• understanding of accounting principles and reporting
• strong data analysis skills
• effective communication skills
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP
• minimum 5 years experience
• 3 years relevant experience
• 2 years GCC experience a plus
• professional degree in AutoCAD
• bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
