Senior Structural Design Manager

Job Description Overview The Senior Structural Design Manager will lead the structural design development and delivery of large-scale hospitality and mixed-use developments across Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for managing all structural engineering activities throughout the project life cycle, ensuring technical excellence, design efficiency, constructability, compliance with local and international standards, and seamless integration with architecture, MEP, and other project disciplines. The successful candidate will supervise structural consultants, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure that innovative, safe, and cost-effective structural solutions support the project vision, quality standards, schedule, and budget goals. Your Role • Lead the structural design vision and engineering strategy from concept through detailed design, tender and construction phases. • Ensure structural design intent is maintained throughout all phases of the project life cycle. • Develop innovative and effective structural solutions that support the architectural design objectives and operational requirements of hospitality. • Review and approve structural design deliverables, including calculations, reports, specifications, drawings and technical proposals. • Manage structural engineering consultants, specialist contractors and technical advisors to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery. • Create and monitor structural design schedules, budgets and resource plans. • Identify, evaluate and mitigate structural design risks throughout the project life cycle. • Lead value engineering initiatives while maintaining safety, performance, quality and design intent. • Act as a liaison Core between internal stakeholders, structural consultants, contractors and external project partners. • Coordinate closely with architecture, MEP, façade, geotechnical, infrastructure, and landscape teams to ensure integrated design solutions. • Participate in design reviews, workshops and technical coordination meetings with clients and stakeholders. • Provide structural design solutions, technical assessments, and progress updates to senior management and client teams. • Ensure compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), international engineering standards, hospitality requirements, and regulatory approvals. • Coordinate with authorities and approval agencies to ensure structural compliance and timely approvals. • Oversee BIM coordination and multi-disciplinary design integration

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or any related discipline.
• Extensive experience managing structural design consultants and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, design codes, construction principles, and value engineering methodologies.
• Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent technical report writing, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Strong stakeholder management and client experience.
• Ability to work effectively within fast-paced, multicultural project environments.
