We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as among the five largest global companies by market capitalization. ## Overview Engineering Services is looking for a highly qualified and experienced process modeling specialist with experience in process simulation, digital twin development, and advanced modeling techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and validating simulation models of gas, refining, and other oil and gas units, including kinetic reactor models, using tools such as Aspen HYSYS, AVEVA ROMeo, APS, and the employer UniSim. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in developing sequential and vectorized modular models Towards equations. They will provide technical leadership in process modeling and simulation, and lead the development of digital solutions such as process simulation twins. The candidate will also mentor junior engineers, deliver company-led training sessions, and contribute to troubleshooting operational issues while developing innovative technologies to further enhance the process. Experience with hybrid modeling techniques and AI/ML integration with simulation tools is desirable. ## Key Responsibilities Develop and validate detailed process simulation models for refineries and other hydrocarbon processing facilities using tools such as Aspen HYSYS, AVEVA ROMeo, APS and the employer UniSim. Build and optimize kinetic reactor models to accurately represent complex chemical reactions and process conditions. Provide technical leadership in process modeling and simulation, guiding cross-functional teams to implement modeling solutions for operational and strategic decision making. Lead the development of digital twin solutions, integrating process simulation models with other software components such as data analytics, new machine learning and optimization systems. Troubleshoot operational issues in hydrocarbon processing units by analyzing simulation results and providing actionable recommendations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define modeling requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and deliver customized solutions. Mentoring junior engineers and delivering company-led training sessions on process modeling. Stay up to date on emerging technologies and methodologies, such as hybrid modeling techniques and the application of AI/ML Lee in process simulation, applying this knowledge to improve modeling accuracy and efficiency. Develop and implement best practices, standards and procedures for modeling and simulation of operations within Saudi the employer. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. ## Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering as a minimum. Master's/PhD preferred. At least 15 years of experience in process modeling and simulation in the oil and gas industry. Strong experience in process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, AVEVA ROMeo, APS and the employer UniSim. You are expected to master one or more of these tools. Proven experience in building and validating kinetic reactor models and simulating complex refining processes. Demonstrated ability to provide technical intellectual property leadership and mentor cross-functional teams on process modeling and simulation projects. Strong understanding of gas and refining operations, process modeling, and troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate operational challenges into modeling opportunities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and provide training programs.
