Senior QA/QC Engineer

Job description

The Senior QA/QC Engineer ensures projects are delivered following good work practices and project specifications, implementing international quality standards and procedures across all construction activities. Manages quality and workmanship for civil, architectural, and structural disciplines and oversees QA/QC documents such as certificates, calibration records, test results, inspection requests, and non‑compliance reports. Develops inspection and test standards, follows approved QA/QC plans, method statements, test plans, and drawings to meet client expectations. Prepares work inspection requests for each activity and submits them to the consultant. Ensures site items are thoroughly inspected before consultant visits, aims for 90% first‑submission pass rate, conducts quality toolbox briefings, verifies material compliance, and raises NCRs when necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering
• Professional qualification in MMUP, Engineer Registration (UPDA), Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001) or ASQC certification (CQM/CQE)
• Knowledge of standards ISO 9001, QCS, ASTM, BSI, BSEN, ACI, AASHTO
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Primavera
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, data sheets
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to supervise project sections with minimal management supervision
• Minimum 8 years total experience, 5 years relevant experience, 2 years GCC experience a plus
