Industrial Hygiene Technician

the employer is looking for a skilled Industrial Hygiene Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The Industrial Hygiene Technician will support the implementation and maintenance of industrial hygiene programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. **Education and Certification:** * Diploma in Environmental Sciences, Natural Sciences, Chemical Sciences, or higher. * Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) certification or equivalent. * Knowledge and/or ability to learn quickly OSHA and similar regulations and agreed standards governing industrial hygiene. **Experience:** * At least 3 years of work experience in an industrial hygiene function in the petrochemical, refining, fertilizer and/or chemical industry. ** Other Requirements: ** * Knowledge and/or ability to quickly learn to conduct hazard identifications, PPE assessments, functional safety analyzes of work activities and industrial hygiene programs. * Must be customer focused and results focused, with the ability to collaborate and work effectively with company employees and contractors at various levels throughout the facility. * Must have high levels of self-motivation and self-confidence. * Good verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications. ** Requirements ** ** Skills: ** * Knowledge and/or ability to quickly learn using direct reading devices such as sound level meters, sampling pumps, multi-gas monitors, lux meters, and photo ionization detectors (PIDs). ** Abilities: ** * Ability to work independently and in a team environment. * Support the industrial hygienist in implementing and executing the industrial hygiene program. * Conduct industrial hygiene surveys in the workplace, for example. Heat stress monitoring, noise surveys, chemical exposure surveys, lighting surveys, and ergonomics studies. * Ensure calibration and operation of all industrial hygiene instruments, and maintain inventory of consumables associated with industrial hygiene sampling. * Prepare all industrial hygiene sampling media and ensure samples are sent to external analysis facilities. * Supports implementation of a respiratory protection program including operation of the breathing air compressor. * Conduct respirator fit testing and keep associated records. * Performing a respiratory function check/test. * Supports maintenance and calibration of multiple gas detection devices. * Provide daily industrial hygiene support to plant employees and contractors, including participation in PPE assessments, functional safety analyzes and workplace risk assessments. * Participate in compliance audits and conduct formal audits of the IH program
