Vehicle Inspection Specialist
Riyadh
Job description
Job Title: Vehicle Inspection Specialist Employment Type: Full-time, On-site Location: the employer Car Showroom, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Department: Operations Language Requirement: Fluent in Arabic Role Overview Every car the employer hands over carries our name, so its condition has to be exactly what we promised. The Vehicle Inspection Specialist owns the technical truth about each vehicle: you inspect it when it first comes in, identify and document any damage or defects, carry out the final inspection before handover, and assess technical issues raised after the sale. You also support the Cars Operations team with day-to-day operational tasks. This is a technical role, not a customer-facing one. The After-Sales Customer Experience Specialist owns all customer communication, complaints, and follow-ups. You give them accurate, clearly documented findings so they can keep the customer informed and resolve the case. The goal of the role: no car leaves the showroom with an undocumented defect, every inspection report is accurate and complete, and technical issues are diagnosed quickly and routed to the right fix. Duties & Responsibilities Vehicle Handover • Schedule handover appointments with customers and confirm the time, location, and documents they need to bring. • Before each appointment, confirm that the car has passed its pre-handover check and that all accessories are present: keys, manual, and spare tyre. • Walk the customer through the car's condition and inspection report, and introduce its key features. Sign the handover form with the customer and document it with photos. Vehicle Inspection & Condition Assessment • Conduct the initial inspection of every vehicle, covering the body, exterior, interior, and overall condition, against Soum's approved inspection checklist. • Assess mechanical and electrical components, including the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, and electrical systems. • Identify and report any damage, defects, previous repairs, issues, or discrepancies against what was listed or agreed with the buyer. • Assess the overall condition of each vehicle and record it consistently, so that condition ratings mean the same thing across every car. Inspection Reports & Documentation • Produce a clear, accurate inspection report for every vehicle inspected, written so that a non-technical colleague can explain it to a customer. • Take photographs of each vehicle's condition and of every defect found, and attach them to the report. • Record all findings, reports, and photos in the system so they are available to Sales and After-Sales. • Keep inspection records complete and up to date, so the condition of any vehicle at any stage can be verified. Pre-Handover Checks • Conduct the final inspection before vehicle handover or completion, confirming the car matches its inspection report and has not changed in condition since it was listed. • Verify that every car is complete with all accessories: keys, manual, and spare tyre. • Confirm that the car is ready, or flag what must be fixed before the handover appointment. Post-Sale Technical Issues & Escalation • Assess technical issues raised in post-sale warranty requests and complaints, using the case details passed on by the After-Sales CX Specialist. • Determine the likely cause, whether the issue was present at handover, and the recommended fix. • Document your technical findings in the case so the After-Sales CX Specialist can update the customer. • Escalate technical issues outside your authority in line with approved procedures. Workshops & Cars Operations • Brief approved maintenance workshops on the technical findings and the work required. • Review completed repairs and confirm the issue has been fixed before the case is closed. • Feed recurring defects and post-sale technical complaints back into the inspection checklist to improve future inspections. • Coordinate with the Operations team throughout the car journey, from initial inspection to handover. • Support other Cars Operations tasks when required.
