Control Systems Maintenance Technician

Job description

The technician performs maintenance, installation, repair, and modification activities on control devices and systems in the plant according to standard maintenance procedures, health, safety, environmental guidelines, and quality standards. Responsibilities include executing preventive routine maintenance, monitoring equipment condition and reporting non‑conformities, responding to device failures with corrective actions, troubleshooting and repairing using tools and spare parts, interpreting technical manuals and control schematics, aligning, adjusting, and calibrating equipment, updating maintenance records, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies, and collaborating with the control supervisor, maintenance engineers, and operations team

Requirements

• Technical diploma or associate degree in Instrumentation Engineering
• 3-5 years experience in instrument and control maintenance as a technician
• practical knowledge of related plant equipment
• practical knowledge of maintenance principles including waste handling and emissions monitoring
• proficiency in health, safety and quality standards
• ability to work in teams and effective collaboration skills
• knowledge of first aid measures
